Kisco Senior Living Recognized for Innovation and Performance Excellence
CAPE Award

CARLSBAD, Calif. – Following numerous awards for its innovative senior communities, Kisco Senior Living recently received recognition for performance excellence at their corporate office and 18 senior living communities throughout the United States.   The California Council for Excellence (CCE), which administers the California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE) named Kisco Senior Living as a distinguished Eureka Silver level award winner. The annual CAPE program honors California companies who achieve world class results through innovation, customer service and performance excellence.

"We continually strive to improve our organizational performance practices, capabilities and results in order to better serve our residents and identify new growth opportunities," said Andy Kohlberg, President and Chief Executive Office for Kisco Senior Living.

"So it is a special honor to receive this distinguished accolade from the CAPE program in recognition of the business practices we employ to continually anticipate and meet the preferences and needs of our residents and stakeholders. The peace of mind that our business performance provides for our residents and their families is one of the many valuable benefits of our Kisco Senior Living communities."

The CAPE program employs the principles of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program to evaluate business performance in vital areas, such as leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, measurement and knowledge management, human resources, process management and business results.  The evaluation process includes about a 1000 hours of review and on-site visits by a team of CAPE examiners to clarify questions and verify information in the application. CAPE winners serve as role models for California’s diverse business community and many go on to compete successfully in the national Malcolm Baldrige quality program.

"The Baldrige criteria are essential to the ongoing development and success of Kisco Senior Living," said Mr. Kohlberg. "We carefully evaluate and refine our business practices in order to provide superior opportunities for our residents, associates and business partners."

Although no two Kisco communities are exactly alike, they all embrace Kisco’s  signature The Art of Living WellSM culture which offers residents and associates  the opportunity  to create a personalized plan for the future based on their unique passions, experiences and needs. Each Kisco community provides a variety of services, programs and lifestyle options to enhance the six dimensions of wellness and support active, engaged aging in a relationship rich environment.
